Introducing the LIT Community Scholarship:

What is the LIT Scholarship program? 

We offer the LIT Scholarship to make the LIT Community more accessible to mental health professionals around the world. Our main scholarship provides a 50% reduction of the monthly membership fee.

Earning power and professional opportunities vary greatly depending on where someone lives and their personal circumstances. The goal of the scholarship is to ensure that the LIT Community remains inclusive, accessible and diverse and to welcome therapists who might otherwise be unable to join. 

At the same time, our community benefits from a greater diversity of perspectives, cultures and professional experiences as a result.

If joining the LIT Community would be meaningful for you but the full membership fee feels out of reach right now, we warmly encourage you to apply. 

Who is the LIT Scholarship for? 

Some example applicants might include people from developing nations, people of colour, LGBTQ+ people, members of other marginalised groups, and those who have experienced reduced opportunities due to other factors in their lives. We also invite early-stage colleagues to apply if they are not yet financially stable enough to afford the full membership fee.

If you’re unsure about your eligibility, feel free to apply and we will assess whether we’re able to offer you a scholarship. 

How the LIT Scholarship works 

Scholarship recipients are full members of the LIT Community and have access to everything inside the membership, including business meetups, peer supervision, LIT Talks, book club, the LIT Directory, and more. All scholarship arrangements are kept confidential, so everyone participates on an equal footing within the community.

The reduced membership rate continues for as long as you remain part of the community. If your situation changes and you feel able to move to a full membership in the future, we simply ask that you let Team LIT know.

What is the application process for the LIT Scholarship? 

Applying is quick and simple. Just fill out the short application form by clicking on the button below. We’ll ask you a few questions about your demographics, where you’re at in your career, and why you’re applying for the scholarship. All information remains confidential.

Once we receive your application, we’ll review it as soon as possible – typically within a week. We’ll then let you know whether you’ve been granted the scholarship or if we have any follow-up questions.
