My name is Katja, I am an adult third culture kid with a german passport, and I am a Gestalt therapist.
I know that sometimes life can become difficult, emotions can run high and the relationship with the world or yourself may feel complicated. If you are in one of these moments, I offer to partner with you while, together, we shed light on your feelings and your experiences so that you may embrace yourself and your life again with love, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness.
Gestalt Therapy is a form of psychotherapy which emphasizes personal responsability and focuses upon the individual’s experience in the present moment, the therapist–client relationship, the environmental and social contexts of a person’s life, and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result of their overall situation.
As a Gestalt Therapist I strongly believe in the ability of each one of us to regulate ourselves and reconnect with our inner resources to reorient our lives towards our own fulfillment through self-awareness.
I offer you to discover together “how” and “what for” experiences and actions have come to be in your life. Acknowledge how they impact your way of relating to the world or to yourself in the “here and now” and create the necessary awareness to reconnect with your true self.
I often introduce different techniques in my sessions such as, breathing and embodiement exercises, meditation, visualizations, role plays and others, all aimed at facilitating awareness of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensations and needs.
I propose to walk by your side while handling issues, such as stress, anxiety, life transitions or loss, demotivation, creativity blockages, female empowerment, menopause, motherhood, empty nest, self-esteem. Especially when there are multicultural (be it cultural, social, religious reasons), diversity and/or Adult Third Culture Kids matters involved.
All you have to do is contact me by e-mail and fix a 30 mn free session with me to see if we may be a right fit.
I believe in building bridges between diverse thinking, beliefs, cultures, or gender. Along this road I work mainly with adults, couples and sometimes adolescents (+15)
