I have my master’s and PhD in Clinical and Health Psychology. For the past 6 years, I’ve provided therapy and coaching to expats and global nomads, and I currently provide online coaching to international clients living around the world. I’m also trained to teach the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) course and integrate the tools of mindfulness and self-compassion into my work with clients. My goal with all of my clients is to help them to live meaningful and fulfilling lives, wherever in the world they’re currently living.
My clients include expats, immigrants, digital nomads, adult Third Culture Kids (TCKs), study abroad students, diplomats, NGO employees, professionals working in international education, and people in intercultural relationships. My own experience living abroad for 10 years (Spain & the Netherlands) helps me to understand firsthand the challenges that come with living a life that spans cultures, languages, & time zones. I’m also in an intercultural, bilingual marriage, and have a son who we are raising to be bilingual (we speak English and Spanish in our home). All of these experiences allow me to bring a deeper level of understanding and empathy to coaching international clients.
My clients often reach out to me when they’re preparing for, or in the middle of, a big life transition. This includes preparing to move abroad, relocating to a new country, repatriating/re-entry, exploring the “should I stay or go” dilemma in regards to what to do next in their international life, embarking on a new professional project, working through the end of a romantic relationship, as well as other types of transitions. I also really enjoy working with clients who think and feel deeply such as highly sensitive people, empaths, and creatives.
